Admission in the Curated Artists Registry does not involve any costs, as both enrollment and participation in the program are offered completely free of charge, and are subject to a non-appealable curatorial admission decision.

The conditions for submission of a registry admission request are:

  • a clear connection with the Eastern Europe or Balkan region, and
  • formal artistic training or relevant comparable exhibition activity
  • proof of a professional career with relevant exhibition activity in museums, art associations, galleries, project spaces, etc.

A jury composed of selected curators and artists (NPK Curatorial Board) decides on admission to the program. Meetings are held at random intervals, and applications for consideration can be submitted at any time. Please note that the selection committee’s recommendations are based on personalized opinions, according to their training and professional experience of our curators, which are generally not strictly objectifiable; therefore, no feedback can be provided on applications.

Furthermore, there is no entitlement to admission to the program and decisions cannot be appealed.

Some applications may receive a prompt positive response, while in other cases, admission may be recommended at a later time, usually based on artistic activity of the applicant, in time.
