Inclusion in the Artists Curated Registry does not involve any costs, as both admission and ongoing inclusion in the program are completely free of charge, subject to a non-appealable curatorial admission decision. The Registry is maintained as a shared, common-use tool.
The preconditions for submission of a registry inclusion request are:
- a clear connection with the Eastern Europe or Balkan region, and
- formal artistic training or relevant comparable exhibition activity
- proof of a professional career or tracked record with relevant exhibition activity (museums, art associations, galleries, project spaces, etc).
A panel composed of selected curators and artists (NPK Curatorial Board) decides on registration requests. The panel meetings are held at random intervals, however requests can be submitted at any time. Please note that the panel’s recommendations are based on personalized opinions, according to their training and professional experience, which are generally not strictly objectifiable; therefore, no further feedback can be provided.
There is no entitlement to admission to the program and decisions cannot be appealed.
Some applications may receive a prompt positive response, while in other cases, inclusion may occur at a later time. The registry is maintained on voluntary basis.
